Work on the Turkish Air Force’s C-130J Super Hercules fleet is progressing at pace, with several of the 12 aircraft in our hangars simultaneously.
We were delighted to show this progress to our customer directly last week, welcoming Brigadier General Volkan Ersun Acar (Director, 2nd Air Maintenance Factory) and Lieutenant Colonel Halis Can Polat (Manager, Depot Level Maintenance Factory) to our Cambridge headquarters.
A highlight of the tour: our dedicated C-130J centre wing box replacement facility, where our guests were able to view one of their aircraft after its centre wing box had been removed. For most operators, it’s quite rare to view a C-130 in this state, since line maintenance seldom involves the aircraft’s primary structure.
We’re very grateful to Brigadier General Acar and Lieutenant Colonel Polat for their visit, and look forward to continuing our work together as we proceed with the programme.
