Lumpy bits and twirly bits at Mildenhall this morning 11.03.26.

A few of the transient MC-130Js departed today, including a couple of the ones with the Silent Knight nose lumpage radar upgrade. One of them subsequently trailed over head with some fabulous vortices off of the props.

Op 3-3-2025 was het 49 jaar geleden dat de Vega 10, de C 130 H van de toenmalige 46e Luchtbrigade, neerstortte in de gemeente Calci op 3 maart 1977, kort na het opstijgen.

Niemand overleefde de crash, waarbij 38 studenten van de Marineacademie van Livorno om het leven kwamen, evenals de bemanning:
