On Monday, 24 November we welcomed Fat Albert back to Cambridge for the first time since completing entry into service in 2020. The Blue Angels flight crew, who swapped sunny Florida for a chilly wet British afternoon, arrived with big smiles and very graciously took the time to meet the Marshall team. For more than a year our hangars will be home to the world’s most recognisable C-130, which will undergo a centre wing box change (the aviation equivalent of invasive spinal surgery) as well as other heavy maintenance work. We’re sure Blue Angels fans are counting down the days, but we promise that the time spent with us will keep Fat Albert in shape to wow the crowds for many years to come! Follow us to catch the next update as we move through this highly specialised maintenance and engineering process! Wondering why Fat Albert is out of action in 2026? Answers here 🔻
