UNITED STATES DELIVERS C-130 AIRCRAFT TO TUNISIAN AIR FORCE
The delivery, valued at 36 million Tunisian dinars marks the third C-130 delivered to Tunisia by the U.S. government since 2021

TUNIS, November 18, 2024 – Today the U.S. government celebrated the delivery of one C-130H2 Hercules aircraft to the Tunisian Air Force in a ceremony at Sidi Ahmed Air Base in Bizerte. High-ranking officials from both Tunisia and the United States attended the event, including Tunisian Minister of National Defense Khaled Sehili, U.S. Ambassador Joey Hood, Chief of Staff of the Tunisian Air Force General Mohammed Hajem, and Lieutenant General Jason Hinds, the Deputy Commander of U.S. Air Forces in Europe and Africa.
The delivery of this aircraft, valued at a total of 36 million Tunisian dinars ($12 million), continues the U.S. government’s commitment to expanding the Tunisian Air Force’s air transport capabilities. This aircraft increases the Tunisian Air Force’s C-130 fleet.
Ambassador Hood noted that, “This delivery is part of the U.S.-Tunisian joint strategy to increase the Tunisian Ministry of Defense and the Tunisian Air Force’s ability to provide peace and security in the region and globally. Enhanced Tunisian air transportation capabilities advance our shared interest in peace operations. We look forward to more opportunities to collaborate jointly in the future.”
