BABY, IT’S COLD OUTSIDE – It may be chilly this holiday weekend in Central PA, but it’s nothing compared to what Staff Sgt. Grant Santese from the 193rd Special Operations Maintenance Group experienced recently at the South Pole, where temperatures regularly dip to -40! Santese was there in support of OPERATION DEEP FREEZE, which provides operational and logistical support to the National Science Foundation (NSF) scientific research activities in Antarctica. From Middletown to the South Pole, 193rd SOW Airmen are making the world a better place!
